GOVT 164 CM - Political RhetoricThis course is devoted principally to examining the classical understanding of political rhetoric and the problems and possibilities connected with it. Readings are Plato’s Gorgias and Aristotle’s Rhetoric. In the final part of the course, some famous speeches from the American political tradition are examined.
