SCI114L CM - Computational Biology and BioinformaticsThis course introduces students to both the theory and practice of algorithms for solving computational problems in the biological sciences. The course explores broadly-applicable methods including dynamic programming, graph algorithms, Markov processes and models, and time complexity and intractability. Application areas may include phylogenetic inference, sequence alignment, and genome assembly, among others. There will be a computational lab associated with this class.
