Molecular biology majors must complete a one- or two-semester thesis in biology. The two-semester thesis with lab is preferred. For further information, see Senior Thesis in Science .
Note:
The introductory courses in biology, chemistry, and physics may also be completed by both semesters of the Accelerated Integrated Science Sequence (AISS ) Student Learning Outcomes of the Program in Molecular Biology
1. Discuss and analyze original scientific research articles on molecular biology topics.
2. Interpret data, including identification of control versus experimental samples.
3. Design controlled experiments to test specific hypotheses on a molecular biology topic.
