The Korean program aims to develop a high level of proficiency in the major language functions of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and to foster understanding of Korean culture, history, and society. The lower division courses focus on acquisition of the language proficiency and learning of Korean tradition and culture, while the upper division courses focus on analytical investigation of modern history, politics, and society.
Claremont McKenna College does not offer a major in Korean, but students can major in with emphasis on Korea.
