PHYS 102 JS - Intermediate Electricity and MagnetismAn upper division course in electrodynamics using analytical, but emphasizing numerical, techniques to solve problems. Topics include electrostatic solutions using Laplace’s and Poisson’s equations, polarization, magnetostatics, magnetization, Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic waves, and electromagnetic radiation.
Prerequisites: PHYS 034L JS or both semesters of AISS; PHYS 100 JS (or equivalent); MATH 032 CM , or permission of instructor
