What, if anything, makes some works of art better than others? What is interpretation, and how can we properly interpret works of art? What is the relationship between art and morality? Why do we value art? Course material will typically include philosophical writings on these subjects as well as objects of art (novels, stories, paintings, musical compositions, etc.).
