BIOL168L KS - MicrobiologyIn this fundamental microbiology course we will examine bacteria, archaea, and viruses which are central to our environment, agriculture, industry, and health. We will focus on the evolution and diversity of cell structure, metabolism, and genetics of the microbes as interactions between microbial species, eukaryotes, and the environment. This course has a laboratory fee.
Prerequisites: BIOL 043L KS and BIOL 044L KS , or BIOL 040L KS and BIOL 044L KS ; CHEM 014L KS and CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 040L KS and CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 029L KS ; or both semesters of ; and instructor permission.
