Washington, D.C. Internship Semester

Claremont McKenna College offers a semester internship program in Washington, D.C. For further information on participation, see Washington Program . Students accepted to the Washington Program are registered for a pre-set group of courses drawn from the following:

• GOVT 030 CM -  Washington Internship   
• GOVT 126A CM -  Federal Budget Process  or GOVT126B CM - Problems in Public Policy  
• GOVT 127 CM -  Washington Research Project   or another similar independent study project
• GOVT125 CM - The President and U.S. Foreign Policy  or  GOVT128 CM - Power, Politics, and Persuasion in Washington  

All courses count toward college graduation requirements; one or more Washington Program courses may count toward various majors or sequences with department chair or program coordinator approval. Overall, not more than a total of two internship program courses may be counted toward the major.
