Human Rights, Genocide, and Holocaust Studies Sequence

Sequence Requirements

The Human Rights, Genocide, and Holocaust Studies sequence requires completion of 5 courses and an internship, distributed as follows:

1. Political Philosophy and/or Ethics (1 course)

One course in policital philosophy and/or ethics , with special emphasis on human rights

2. Holocaust Studies (1 course)

One course in Holocaust studies

3. Electives (2 courses)

Two elective courses focused on human rights issues, normally selected from different academic disciplines and chosen in consultation with a sequence advisor

4. Independent Study (1 course)

An independent study that focuses on human rights issues and/or genocide. An appropriate senior thesis may be used to fulfill this requirement.

5. Internship

An internship approved by the sequence advisor
