SCI030LBCM - Integrated Sciences I-BThis course is normally taken concurrently with SCI 030LACM . These two courses emphasize how the integration of core concepts from biology, chemistry, and physics, and the use of both experimental and computational methods, are necessary to explore themes of health, brain, and planet. For example, conceptual frameworks for the relationship between structure and function, for randomness, energy, and dynamical systems all cross boundaries of discipline and scale. Combined, the concurrent courses include a total of 6 hours of lecture and 6-8 hours of lab per week.
Prerequisites: SCI 010L CM and MATH 030 CM or higher
