LEAD149 CM - Special Topics in Leadership Studies

This course offers various special topics in Leadership Studies. Given the multi- and inter-disciplinary nature of Leadership Studies, diverse perspectives on leadership emanate from a number of academic disciplines. Topics will vary by professor, but offerings will tend to focus on topics not offered elsewhere in the curriculum. Class members will learn evidence-based strategies that organizations use to develop leaders while experiencing them firsthand. Through assessments, coaching, reflections, and other interactive exercises, class members will learn how to work with their weaknesses, leverage their strengths, and deepen their passion and purpose. Small consulting teams will benchmark an organization’s leader development practices and provide them with actionable recommendations. The fundamental tools and skills learned will serve class members throughout their careers.
