ASAM161 CM - The Care Work of Asian WomenThis course explores how media representations of Asian women track US domestic and foreign policy from the anti-Chinese xenophobia of the 19th century to the “model minority” or wealthy globetrotter of the present and how these images impact the economic, social and political lives of Asian/Americans and our broader understanding of race, class, gender, sexuality, ability and national identity.
