GOVT177 CM - African American Political ThoughtAn examination of how several key thinkers in the African American tradition responded to questions of political philosophy. Authors studied may include Harriet Jacobs, David Walker, Frederick Douglass, Ida B. Wells, Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. DuBois, Anna Julia Cooper, Zora Neale Hurston, James Baldwin, Martin Luther King Jr., Ella Baker, and Malcolm X, as well as prominent contemporary African American conservatives and African American feminists.
