GOVT121 CM - Political ReformThis course focuses on American political reform, defined as efforts to change the systematic components of the policy process. Students will learn about different reform traditions and frameworks for evaluating reform as well as specific reform proposals including voting rights, election administration, redistricting, primary elections, campaign finance, government reorganizations, legislative reforms, agency design, administrative practice, judicial reform, and more. Assignments involve evaluating problems in politics and society and comparing alternative reform solutions.
