BIOL 157L JS - Cell BiologyThis course examines the function of organisms at the cellular and molecular level through discussion, analysis of scientific literature, and laboratory experimentation. Topics include signal transduction, nuclear structure and function, cell division, and apoptosis (cell suicide). The laboratory uses modern cell biology techniques including fluorescent microscopy and immunodetection of proteins. This course has a laboratory fee.
Prerequisites: BIOL 043L JS ; CHEM 014L JS and CHEM 015L JS (or CHEM 029L JS ); or both semesters of AISS or permission of instructor
