BIOL187S KS - Special Topics: Microbial LifeThis is an upper division course in which students will examine the structure, function, diversity, and relationships of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms in agriculture, industry, and disease. An introduction to the immune system and its mechanism to defend against microbes will be explored. This course should appeal to a wide range of students with different backgrounds.
Prerequisites: BIOL 043L KS and BIOL 044L KS , or BIOL 040L KS and BIOL 044L KS ; CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 040L KS and CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 029L KS ; or both semesters of ; or instructor permission
