PSYC118 CM - Seminar in Prejudice and Intergroup RelationsOverview of theory and research on the psychology of prejudice and intergroup relations, including theories of personality, social categorization, stereotyping, group conflict, group identity, and social dominance. Explores individual, group, and societal factors which lead to prejudice, ways in which members of disadvantaged groups cope with and respond to prejudice, and ways in which prejudice can be reduced.
Prerequisite: One lower-division psychology course
