BIOL 157L KS - Cell BiologyThis course examines the function of organisms at the cellular and molecular level through discussion, analysis of scientific literature, and laboratory experimentation. Topics include signal transduction, nuclear structure and function, cell division, and apoptosis (cell suicide). The laboratory uses modern cell biology techniques including fluorescent microscopy and immunodetection of proteins. This course has a laboratory fee.
Prerequisites: BIOL 043L KS or BIOL 040L KS ; CHEM 014L KS and CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 040L KS and CHEM 015L KS , or CHEM 029L KS ; or both semesters of ; or permission of instructor
