HIST053 CM - Everyday Life in South Asia, 1700 to the PresentThis course is the second of two parts of an introduction to the civilization(s) of historical India, or present-day status of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. These three hundred years consist of complex changes in the economy, social structure, and the values of this life and an after life. The course looks at the agencies of change such as colonial law and education, mass media and technology, and demography.
