Accreditation

Claremont McKenna College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council on Post-secondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

The Catalog

The catalog is not to be considered as a binding contract between Claremont McKenna College and students, parents or guardians of students, nor other interested parties. The College reserves the right at any time, without advance notice, to change any part, portion or provision of the catalog; no vested rights shall run or be created by the catalog, including the right to notice of any modification, novation, amendment, supplementation or other change of any term, provision or content of the catalog; such right of the College to enact changes, etc., especially shall include but not be limited to; (a) withdraw or cancel classes, courses, and programs; (b) change fee schedules; (c) change the academic calendar; (d) change admission and registration requirements; (e) change the regulations and requirements governing instruction in, and graduation from, the College; (f) change of instructors; (g) change of rules and regulations governing the students and student body organizations; (h) change of on-campus facilities, programs and costs for room and/or board of students; (i) change of extra-curricular student activities, programs, and offerings; and (j) change of any other regulation affecting students, their parents/guardians or other interested parties. Such changes shall go into force whenever the College so determines, and shall apply not only to prospective students but also to those who are matriculated at the time in the College. When economic and other conditions permit, as solely and exclusively determined by the College, the College, without being obligated to do so, does endeavor to provide reasonable advance notice of such changes.
